Enjoy the school holidays riding behind steam locomotive 5917 on a short journey through the Hunter Valley from Maitland to Singleton, plus Camberwell ballon loop (return) on Saturday, 10 April or Sunday, 11 April 2021.
We have ticketing options available encompassing NSW Covid-Safe regulations.
You have the choice of alighting at Singleton for a short stay in town, or staying on the train while it is turned at Camberwell.

Please Note: All fares are for same-day return travel.

Standard Private Compartment — $200 (standard compartment seating up to 4 people)
*Note: Family groups of up to 6 people will be permitted under a Private Compartment booking without needing to purchase extra tickets.
First Class Duo:
Two People — $140, (Two First Class window seats guaranteed)

Buffet Car:
A buffet car will now be available on the Hunter Valley Picnic Train serving barista coffees, teas, soft drinks, beer and light snacks. Customers are also welcome to bring along picnic lunches, snacks and drinks.
BYO alcohol is allowed, however, large eskys will not be permitted
Toilets:
Toilets are available in all carriages and will be locked off while in metropolitan areas. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, passengers using the toilet are asked to wear a face mask.
Mobile Phones:
There are no charging points on the heritage equipment. It is recommended that you bring an external battery charger for your mobile devices.
Motive Power:
Steam locomotive 5917 will be the primary motive power for the Hunter Valley Picnic Train.
