Get out on the rails!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of what we do, supporting the safe and smooth running of our trains and ensuring our passengers have a fantastic day travelling with us.
We welcome volunteers with no previous experience as well as those who can offer specialist skills. Prior qualifications are not necessarily required. Our team is always there to support you and help you learn from experienced volunteers.

Passenger Attendant
We're looking for volunteers that are friendly and punctual, with an interest in providing our passengers the best possible experience. If you love working with the public where you will be the smiling start to all sorts of journeys for all kinds of people, then why not join us?
You will be
-
punctual and well presented
-
responsible for the cleaning and preparation of your carriage
-
greet passengers and provide seating allocation
-
provide passengers with safety information
-
keep your passengers informed
-
socialise with passengers where appropriate and ensure they are happy
-
observe and practice safe working principles at all times
-
clean and prepare your carriage for the next day of service
-
ensure all windows are closed and your carriage is locked
Initial complimentary training is provided together with ongoing support. With additional training and experience, Passenger Attendants may transition to other roles including Head Passenger Attendant, Train Manager or Locomotive Support Crew.
